Tecnikabel acquires EIS Wire & Cable, strengthening its presence in the USA across the Defence and Industrial Automation sectors
TURIN, SOUTH HADLEY, 7 APRIL 2026 – Tecnikabel, a Turin-based group founded in 1978 and an international leader in the design and manufacture of special cables, connection systems and cable assemblies, has announced the acquisition of EIS Wire & Cable, a US company specialising in the production of special cables, headquartered in South Hadley, Massachusetts. The transaction represents a significant strategic milestone for the group, consolidating its foothold in the North American market and reinforcing its position in the high-value-added segments of defence and industrial automation.
Tecnikabel is acquiring a majority stake in EIS, whilst President Nicholas Moceri retains a significant minority shareholding and remains at the helm of the company. The brand, management, workforce and manufacturing facility in Massachusetts will be fully preserved, ensuring complete operational continuity and corporate identity.
Founded in 1910, EIS is deeply embedded in the industrial fabric of New England, with a turnover in excess of $40 million. The company operates across two principal segments: defence electronics, where it manufactures critical components for contractors serving the US Navy and international allies — including Europe, Canada and Australia — in the field of underwater detection, and factory automation, with a predominantly global client base. The company operates in accordance with Lean Manufacturing methodologies, holds ISO 9001:2015 certification and boasts over 700 UL and/or CSA product certifications.
The complementarity between the two organisations is the industrial cornerstone of the transaction: EIS brings specialist know-how, a distinctive positioning in the defence sector and a well-established client base, whilst Tecnikabel contributes its international commercial platform, extensive R&D capabilities and the group’s industrial strength. The objective is to accelerate EIS’s growth both in the US market and globally, within a single technological platform covering North America, Europe and Asia.
With a consolidated turnover of over €140 million and a manufacturing presence across three continents, Tecnikabel aims, through this acquisition, to build a global champion in the high-technology special cables sector.
